Let’s Make Elephant Leave this Room

Hello,

My name is Arnaud Ivaldi (he/him), a French MA student in Photography. I am running for Vice-President as a part of a slate with Sofiia Vinnichenko.

I hold a Master of Science in Creative Project Management, Culture and Design, a joint programme between Rennes Business School and the European Academy of Art in Brittany. This programme equipped me with the skills to manage cultural projects across all aspects, including organisation, finances, and legal considerations.

Furthermore, as the head of logistics for the school's audiovisual society for over a year, I honed my ability to prioritize tasks, address diverse requests, and find effective solutions.

My diverse background includes work in a gallery, museum, and publishing company in various positions, such as production assistant and public relations.

These experiences have fuelled my desire to run for this election. I am confident to have the energy and the ability to achieve the commitments I am taking, to fulfil the responsibilities and, meet the expectations of this role if you elect me.

As representatives of student voices, together with Sofiia Vinnichenko, we aim to:

Bridge the gap between campuses and enhance student life by:

  • increasing the number of events organized by the RCASU at Battersea and White City campuses.
  • expanding and standardizing food service options across all campuses. We recognize the importance of fulfilling basic student needs, which is why we have already initiated providing soup at the Battersea campus.

Prevent burnout before it occurs by:

  • offering movement workshops throughout the year, such as yoga, stretching, and self-defence classes.
  • advocating for Sunday campus access to accommodate the shortened programme.
  • ensuring that every student can start working actively already from the end of September by bringing clarity in study schedules

Foster a sense of community among programmes, practices, and experiences by:

  • increasing the visibility of student societies and highlighting our partnership with Imperial College to showcase the diverse activities available to students.
  • organizing practical workshops for non-academic shows. These workshops will clarify the submission process, provide time and space for students to find collaborators, and share experiences from previous winners.

We are dedicated to ensuring that the elephant in the room is not merely recognized but also effectively tackled and resolved.
