RCASU and RCAUCU kindly invite you to an open discussion and Q & A on the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement. The event will explore its historical significance, its relevance to current struggles and its connection to our educational institutions. We will be joined by speakers from UCU, Campaign Against The Arms and Palestine Solidarity Campaign.  Register with your RCA email

Speakers:

Elisa Adami

Elisa Adami is the RCAUCU H&S officer. She completed her PhD at the RCA with a dissertation on radical historiographical practices in the work of Lebanese artists of the postwar generation. She teaches at the RCA and Kingston University and is the Coordinator of Research Residency programmes at UAL’s Decolonising Arts Institute, where she was researcher-in-residency on the programme Decolonising Archives in 2020.

Lewis Bakon

Lewis Bakon is the Campaigns Officer at Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the largest organisation working in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for freedom, justice and equality in the UK. (He/him)

Malak Mayet

Malak Mayet is a decolonial activist, and the Universities Coordinator for Campaign Against the Arms Trade, a campaigning organisation calling for global peace and security through the abolition of the arms trade. (They/them)
