Our statement on the recent Supreme Court Gender Ruling:

We recognise that the recent Supreme Court announcement may have left many in our community feeling unsettled or uncertain. As an organisation led by students for students, we recognise that in times like these, it’s important to reaffirm our commitment to making the RCA a place where every student feels safe and supported. We also want to reassure you that transgender and non-binary individuals are valued, respected and celebrated members of our community, and we wish to welcome, support and uplift them in every way we can.

Transphobia has no place at the RCA. As a Students’ Union we strive to create a safe and inclusive environment for all students where a diversity of voices and experiences are heard and valued and the rights and dignity of everyone is respected. We take great pride in the culture of care and inclusivity that the RCA community upholds.

As an SU, we  believe that all students, regardless of gender identity, should feel empowered and supported. If you or someone you know has been impacted by the recent events affecting the LGBTQIA+ community, please do not hesitate to reach out to us or the College.
