The RCA Students’ Union have organised a series of events to explore socio-political ideas responding to issues that affect students and the institution. A diverse network of speakers have been invited to discuss their experiences, some from within the institution and others from beyond, in order to help us examine how we can improve the culture of the RCA. The below event focused on migration and creative practices.

Migration is a lived reality for a growing number of creative workers and, has become a widely explored topic in contemporary Art and Design.

How do we acknowledge the personal and lived experience within art practices?

How can we as practitioners acknowledge the physical and cultural barriers faced by migrants?

How can we support migrant workers?
