We are a democratic organisation, which means that students set the agenda. Some of the most direct ways this is done is through the Annual Student Members Meeting which all students can get involved in.
The Annual Student Members Meeting is your opportunity to find out about all the things your union has done over the last year and ask questions of the trustees that manage the organisation.

Ice Cream and Ideas
This year we want to make this event more appealing and engaging and what better way to do that than to give away free pizza and ice cream as part of our ice cream and ideas session! Students who attend the meeting will get a chance to share thier ideas on what we should prioritise over the next few months and into the next academic year. As a Students' Union we need your input so come along and give us your ideas about what we should be doing!
What is the Annual Student Members Meeting?
The Student Members Meeting will normally meet at least once per academic year, usually in the second term. This bit is a little dry but doesnt take too long and then its straight into the Ice Cream and Ideas section.
Student Members Meeting is for:
1 ratification of minutes of the previous annual Student Members’ meeting
2 receiving the report of the Trustees on the Union’s activities since the previous annual Student Members’ meeting
3 formally presenting the accounts of the Union to the Student Members
4 approving the list of affiliations of the Union
5 open questions to the Trustees by the Student Members
6 notifying the appointment of the auditors for the next financial year
7 notifying the appointment of trustees
The Annual Students Members can be attended by all current student members and each student member may vote at the Students Members Meeting.
Only current members have voting rights at the Student Members Meeting.
Observers are welcome to attend Student Members Meeting by prior agreement with the Chair
Meetings of the Student Members Meeting shall be convened by one of the Sabbatical Officers or an external trustee.
The quorum at Student Members Meeting meetings shall constitute 25 current members eligible to vote.

The auditors have officially been appointed and the RCASU has reappointed Knox Cropper as our auditors.
The Union has also officially appointed six new trustees since the prior year. These are:
Kavvya Goel and Yihe Yuan as Student Trustees
Nelarine Cornelius and Helen Moulinos as External Trustees (starting in June)
Sacchita Sriganapathiraju and Leona Chang as Officer Trustees (with Zainab Goriawala to join in August)
The affiliations of the RCA SU for the prior year were the National Union of Students and Advice UK.
